Hello Blood Bowl Enthusiasts. The World Cup Organizing Committee is proud to announce the first part of the Team Building Procedure for the World Cup.
First of all, from this point foward the word "team" only refers to the miniature team of a coach. The group of coaches, which will be playing together as a unit will be called "SQUAD" from now on. This is done in order to avoid confusion when we talk about teams and such.
As it was done in the past, each squad will field different teams for each coach, i.e. no race can be chosen twice within a squad.
The World Cup IV will be the first to allow substitute coaches for a squad. This means a squad can consist of 6-7 coaches. A substitution may only be done on a day-by-day basis. This means, by the end of each day before the next round is announced a squad captain will announce his line-up for the next day. No other substitutions are allowed during a day or after the draw for the first game in the morning is announced.
Each coach will accumulate points for every game and the line-up of each squad will be ranked for the next game by their actual collected points, i.e. the coach with the most points will play at table 1 within the squad, the coach with the least points will be playing at table 6. The non-playing coach will not receive any points during a game.
Is is allowed that a coach can be re-entered into the squad line-up, e.g. he/she is playing day 1, sits out during day 2 and can play again on day 3. The non-playing coach is not allowed to give advise to his/her playing squad members while they are playing a match. Viewing a match is permitted, of course.
The organizing committee may ask a non-playing coach to help out to play for other another squad if a need arises in case of emergencies or short-notice drop-outs.
When the registration opens next year, it will be possible to sign up as a group (squad) or as a single coach. The single coaches will be assembled to a freebooter squad by the organizing committee.
Any other information about point system, tier system and progression of teams will be announce next year.
